Craft: Vintage Teacup Planters

IMG_6210.JPG

These sweet vintage teacup planters make great gifts or they will brighten up your vintage style home! You can buy vintage china from various local shops, or online if you're looking for an older style teacup.

You will need:

Teacups

Stones

Plants

Soil

1. Firstly, you'll need to find yourself some vintage china. I find all of my vintage china from charity and antique shops. Another great place to find vintage china, is at vintage fairs. Take a look at Judy's Vintage Fair

2. The teacups need to be filled with stones for drainage before you add your succulent or cactus. There are no drainage holes at the bottom, so you want to make sure your plants don't get overwatered.

3. Once you've added your plant make sure you fill in the rest of the cup with soil. You can get soil at your local garden centre. Ta-da! Your teacup planter is looking gorgeous! It is a great craft to do with friends, or to make as a present.
